:: R.I.P ::

This post is to officially declare the long and slow yet certain demise of this blog. As you can see, the frequency of posts have deteriorated with the weeks passing by just as I premonisced. I told you Siti, didn't I? Well, like it or not. This blog is now dead and we have to express our heartfelt sympathy. Shall we bow our heads in reminiscence of the beautiful memories that this blog has left us with. It will definitely be cherished by all of us despite our very brief emotional and physical connection with it. It has served us well in the short amount of time that it did and we are truly indebted and grateful for that. May we all take a minutes' silence now as a form of respect for the blog.

- 1 minute commences -

The End.

~some words from the bottom of my hart(i)~

Hello you all, I just felt I had to make a lil' speech sorta thing before I trotted off to bed like everyone else if not I will not be able to sleep all too well. I want to say and I mean this that you guys are the greatest, craziest, loveliest bunch of friends I have ever had and I love every moment I spend in all of your company. It's not been too long since we all got together but already in this short time we all have bonded so much and have had so much fun and crazy memories to cherish always. God bless each and everyone of you and keep you happy and protected always. And the raft will always sail smoothly into the sunset...
Love,
Harti***

Multi-Talented Siti

As you all know, my cousin's getting married this weekend, ie. today and tomorrow. Hence I was helping out at her house yesterday. I discovered more talents of my own! Here's to Multi-Purpose Siti, Jack of All Trades! (And master of none, unfortunately. :( )

Firstly, she can take photographs! And what a photographer she is! :)

She can also use these ribbons to turn them into beautiful flowers! *in awe*

Last but not least, she can henna nice patterns on your hands for you! How absolutely lovely eh?

That's all for now. As you can see, Ms Siti Syuhada is absolutely talented and multi-purposed. Other than these talents, she is also able to do lots more, as evinced by her thick portfolio. If you would like to employ her for any assignments/tasks, do drop her an email. :)

PS: Even this self-advertisement was done by her! *winks*

~A cry of Protest~

Yes!! Hear hear one and all... as I scream out in protest! The truth has been kept hidden from you, it was Hamid Rahmatullah Bin Abdul Razak who was so taken by the man there that he could not resist taking that snapshot... not to mention that he listened out for every word that the guy was saying and translated most of it from cantonese to Tamil and then to English (apart from the times when he was shouting Oi! Oi! which seemed to be for most of his conversation with whoever was on the other end of the line). So Bhaiyya, don't try and turn the thosai... I know you like that uncle ya. He stays near me so I should be able to pass him the joyous news sometime soon when I next take the lovely lovely bus no. 66. So guys, I am not the crushee, I only crush ice not mature men!! I am such a good girl. And Siti!!! U said you would be nice and not put my bird face up! Sob!!!! I have been defamed.. not that I ever was famed. The bird face has now gone into permanent hiding and will never appear again =(

A Midsummer's Day Nightmare

Well, it was on that fateful Monday that Siti, Harti, Hamid and Adila came together. Asrie had sneakily pangseh-ed them in the eleventh hour. Nonetheless, these four mad crazy buddies had so much fun and it was documented for everyone's reading pleasure. Lo and behold, we present to you - A Midsummer's Day Nightmare. :)

3 pretty princesses at Al-Ameen, before the clock had struck midnight and they were still pretty much sane.

The clock struck midnight, and Princess Harti, oh no, she went a little mad! Mayhaps she was trying to do a lil impersonation of Tweety Bird!

Slowly but surely, they all turned mad, one by one. At this point of time, Siti was not affected by the evil curse yet and she was still smiling sweetly.

The four mad buddies started to get restless and grumpy, for their victim had not arrived yet. Who shall it be?

Ahh they spotted it! Their next victim! Siti became more than a little loony; Adila laughed maliciously; Harti straightened up immediately in her seat; Hamid drooled hungrily.

In the nick of time, the Blue Fairy came down to cure them from the evil spell! They began to regain their senses and promised the Blue Fairy that they would not do evil again, resulting in the old adage - "See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil"

To further re-iterate the point, the 3 pretty princesses decided to chant the spell again, this time in a different order so as to be safe.

Moral of the Story - Always be good and thou will not be cursed!

:: Hartirathpal Kaur's Latest Crush ::

And so, Harti's crushes on mature men continue.
Tha latest crush was spotted by me as I was travelling with Hartirathpal Kaur d/o Juspal Singh on bus 66 towards Al-Ameen Restaurant to meet Siti and Adila. Then we heard the distinct ring of a Nokia mobile phone. What was more distinct and heart-melting was the voice that was blasting onto the handset. It was such a low and hoarse manly voice spouting Cantonese. The deft hand gestures and forlorn look on his face instantaneously melted Hartirathpal Kaur's heart to goo. Here is an exclusive picture of the Man himself. Please do not spread this news or photo to anyone. I do not want to risk being sued by the Man for indiscriminate photography.

Thank You.

Picnic By the Park

Hi Lovelies!

This is so exciting! I am so happy that all of you are free on Monday! Now I'm not sure if you all want a picnic... due to the humongous logistics involved ;), but I still think that it'll be a great idea! Any violent objections, kindly leave a comment at the end of this post ok?

So, let's settle the details now... (ehem, trying to exude my STERLING leadership skills here *winks*) Do tell me which one you all prefer ok? ie. Delete where necessary. :)

Activity: Picnic/Watch Movie/Kopi & Lepak Session/Dinner

Venue: Botanical Garden/XYZ Cinema/XYZ Cafe/XYZ Restaurant

Time: Brunch/Lunch/Tea/Dinner (actually, if we wanna have a picnic, can we not have it at noon? V hot la. :P)

Participants: Adila! Asrie! Hamid! Harti! Meifang! Siti! (Wahlaoz, the first two pairs are couples already! Nvm, Meifang can be my wifeeee! *can hear her ex-wives stomping ominously* Oops.)

If we are all having a picnic, I will need to know who's bringing what! So please don't forget to leave a comment with regards to your preferences as well as what you will be 'contributing' if you are for the idea of a picnic.

In Case of a Picnic
  • I'll be bringing my lovely camera! And sandwiches la. Pref. egg mayo. IF i'm not lazy to make. hehe. If nobody brings food, we'll just call Canadian 2-for-1 la!
  • Adila, you can bring the picnic mat. *grinz* and some food to feed the growing boys. And your videocam la, if you wanna take those mugshots. tsk.
  • Asrie, you errrrrr can bring drinks! Just don't bring lassi! ;)
  • Hamid, you can bring Indian food to feed Asrie who has specifically mentioned that he absolutely adores Indian food. Please bring some meenachis to introduce to Asrie as well. :D
  • Harti, you can provide us with entertainment with your Baa Baa Black Sheep song! And dangdut together with Adila, who still owes us a forfeit!
  • Meifang can bring dessert!

Yay!

Please get back to me soon! Cos actually I have tuition on Monday... But it's free and easy... (e girl is a MONYET i tell u! Hahaz more about that later!) Anyway, I'll need to know the time we're meeting so I can make prior arrangements. :)

Msia Trip - Day 2 [Cherating]

all rite guys i shall try to be less biased...relax...embarassing revelations regarding my boo boos will come in gd time..so stay tuned...
yay! finally on to day 2!

so we got up super late...(not me though, i'm an early riser)...but by the time all of us were up & ready, i think it was already 1 plus in the afternoon. well, our resort was really in the middle of nowhere so we had no choice but to return to peninsular for lunch. peninsular must have experienced a boom in business as we probably doubled their customer quota for that period. this time, we ordered individual dishes - fish & chips & grilled stuff for the rest but me & asrie ordered this weird-sounding dish [beef stroganoff] which tasted gd! we were impressed with the standard of cooking at peninsular...

meanwhile (as i promised to reveal), boredin & auntie were getting rather chummy! boredin, being a big eater, asked for an extra bowl of rice on top of his grilled fish & chips. he seems to really love rice, i forgot to mention that he asked for an extra bowl the last night during our seafood dinner. this time though, the auntie gave it to him for free! well that got hamid's tongue wagging...

exchange btwn hamid & boredin -
H: boredin, quit studying physics at nus & learn fishing instead lah
B: wat for
H: so you can get married to the auntie
B: wat for
H: then you can be her assistant & get free rice every night
[some parts of this conversation might be inaccurate but the essence of it remains the same]

k after that, we decided to spend our time at the beach! beautiful, beautiful beach...thx to me, we ended up wasting RM7.90 on a useless ball which was too flimsy to play volleyball with. luckily we managed to borrow a proper one and then started a really fun game going. (siti decided to go off on her own & take photos though).

well, in the end of cos, everyone got dunked starting with MF (who got dunked in the swimming pool by hamid as she was trying to retrieve the volleyball). so baaaad! so meeean! (as MF would say) . then all the guys got dunked by each other... (i dint get dunked due to personal reasons...whew!)
the beach was so nice...as in, even though u waded out very far, the water was still very shallow...and the sand was clean & natural with a really nice pattern of ridges...siti had a blast taking fotos...

while the girls got ready for dinner, the guys decided to stay on in the pool & do some synchronised swimming (haha i cant imagine!)...think siti has a foto of them doing some pose...

k actaully we wanted to go to cherating village that evening to explore but it looked like it was gonna rain so we decided not to waste money on transport and stay arnd the resort instead...well this limited our dinner options (not penisular again!!)...soo...we decided to walk along the main rd & see where else to go...came across this villa resort next door which was luxurious but expensive (RM 1000 for a villa, but with its own pool & jacuzzi...wow)....

then we walked on and finally settled on restoran kak yah (anyone remember how boredin pronounced it?) by the roadside. gd food too...but then again, malaysian roadside food always tastes gd!(remember the feast we had at KL? super man...but thats another story for another time)
back to the resort where we played some pool... then came the highlight of the evening!

there was a grp called the jets or sth like that performing at the hotel bar...since there was hardly anyone arnd, boredin (persuaded by the rest) wanted to ask their permission to sing one song on stage! so we all bought drinks to enter the bar & were serenaded by boredin as he sang somewhere out there with the 2 female singers as back up..cool! so sporting of him! it really made our night & we had a great time cheering him on...

after that, we returned to our rms to film my death scene for the horror movie...then just lepaked arnd before we called it a day...

whew! wat a long post...but at least i managed to squeeze one whole day into one post...haha....

:: Excited ::

Hey people! It is so exciting all these latest entries by all of you all. Firstly, I must applaude and congratulate Hartirathpal Kaur d/o Juspal Singh aka Simran for her inaugral blog entry. Hopefully, this is a signal for more entries to come. Then I must thank Adila for the very detailed description about our trip so far. It's been a joy reading about what we have done thus far. It's like a soap opera synopsis! Currently at Episode 2 mann. I'm awaiting Episode 3 with much vervour and excitement. However, it is my duty to point out to dear Adila that her writing must not be at all biased as Siti has reiterated that Adila failed to mention the fact that she had a knee-wobbling crush on the bellboy. May I add that his finesse in speech and extreme professionalism won Adila's heart over. So any guys who are waiting to hit on Adila please take note (esp the 8 on THE LIST)! *winkz* & Adila, I will be waiting to see the boo boo that occured at a certain Hotel Buffet Dinner to be up when the episode comes online ya? Hahaha!

Anyway, nothing exciting in my life now. At least not anything would be exciting to you all. Well, Nurul is back in town and I am just spending time with her and going on as usual with my life. I am planning to take the G-Max reverse bungy at Clarke Quay. Would love some company. Any takers? Siti? Hehehe!

Cheers,
Hamid

~ my first entree ~

Hello All! Yes Yes I am actually blogging! Hope I am doing this right though, this is my first time here, I am so lalloo at this. It's been so exciting reading Adila's entries so far, how I wish I was there to see all the action unfold man! Anyway I have nothing exciting to say at the moment. I have had a rather mundane vacation so far, not doing anything wonderful at home. As I was telling Hamid, the Jurong East library has sorta become my hangout... sad or what huh. Been reading a lot, ok well compared to how much Rustom reads, mine is nothing la...Spend my afternoons watching Bewitched and Who's The Boss, spend my nights watching more reruns like Friends, basically turning into a couch potato la ya. Well been going for Mandarin class too with some of the med Indians and its such a blast coz our pronounciations are just hilarious but i daresay we are improving! And I met this gal with the same name as me and she did some funky henna on my hand which I proudly showed Siti! Coincidentally she was the same one who did henna for Rustom and Mo at the Vesakhi Mela.
Ok I shall leave it at this for now. Hope everyone is doing well and is enjoying their hols. Miss you guys all so much! And we still need to meet to take shots of our faces and siti dear, I have given up on getting the perfect Baa Baa Blacksheep Song la.. tried so hard ready but I still can't get. Told you I need to get into my role again with the Samara hair and Hamid cowering on the floor! Oh yes I watched a really interesting Oprah Winfrey episode recently that I thought of blogging, but thats another story for another day!
Cheers,
Harti***

In Protest

I protest!!

Adila's blogging make me look so bad! I want to clarify a few things! Hey, I don't think we should let Adila do the blogging of our holiday alone... She seems to leave out a few important details, especially those *cough*regarding her*cough*!!

  1. I'm still sick... Will probably start editing next week k? When I feel better and have nothing to do. :D Have pity on this poor girl la. I can barely speak. :( And you guys know how much I love to speak!
  2. The guys really got better pillows! Fluffier and softer! Anyway, a BIG thank you to them for letting me exchange our pillows for their better ones. :) (PS: I don't think they realised the pillows were exchanged... Maybe Hamid did. Hehe.)
  3. I wasn't being gatal ok... It was all said in jest! You all know that! I'm such a good girl... And I don't go on motorbikes... *chuckles*
  4. Adila has a beeeeg crush on that PAKCIK ah! She was so impressed with his professionalism eh? ;) A pity he wasn't there when we checked out or she'd be able to take a photo with him!

K lah, that's it. Feeling drowsy now, probably due to the medicine. Adila, please blog more objectively from now on. ;)

Oh, anybody wants to go to the World Book Fair? It's on until 5 June, 11 am - 9 pm, Suntec City Exhibition Hall 4. Anything juz msg me ok?

Msia Trip - Day 1 [Part 2 : Cherating]

sorry for my long-windedness...i'm still at Day 1! Got 6 days to go...but anyway...wanted to note down every significant thing so as hamid said, we can reminisce...

ok while the guys were dead to the world in their rm (we got adjoining rms btw), me, Siti & MF decided to look for a birthday cake to celebrate hamid's bday. ended up buying slices of hotel cheesecake from the restaurant downstairs in styrofoam boxes...haha...had to make do...its the thought that counts right mr kung??

once the guys' batteries were recharged, we headed out for our seafood dinner! asrie asked the bellboy? bellhop? wat dyu call him? to recommend us a gd place and oh, he was so helpful. so nice & polite & really willing to bend over backwards to help us...hee hee...

k so the best bet according to him was this Peninsular seafood restoran which was situated right outside the resort...how convenient...oh & how we feasted...its all on video so no need to elaborate much...great food, great company, had a great time...there was even time for a budding romance to develop...btwn boredin & the penisular auntie!! haha more on that later....

back to our hotel rms where we really went bonkers & its all caught on tape...basically celebrated hamid's bday with much brouhaha (extreme gp, boredin?). hamid was so touched by both his nonsensical & proper gifts, which he had carried all along unknowingly until now. (haha i made him carry them).

after that, we started filming scenes for our much awaited & anticipated horror movie (hint hint siti, on with the editing!). it was absolutely hilarious...the talent that shone thru just takes one's breath away...siti as the director & camerawoman, MF as assistant director & who succeeded in persuading boredin to act (tough task since boredin is a self-confessed scaredy cat whose most horrifying movie experience is i know what u did last summer) , hamid u and ur drama mama acting, asrie with those smooth moves ... and well harti, you & me - we're pretty gd scriptwriters if i do say so myself!...haha self praise

filming dint end there though...oh no...we were on a high...continued by filming a really shiok sendiri Kuantan Idol...haha look out for masked man Syed Al- Boredin Bin Ibn Saengtuksin strumming his rifle/guitar/ironing board, geeky brothers Ali Baba & Kali Baba, & Thai songbird Rustom Padilla all vying to be the next Kuantan Idol. With judges Paula (MF), Randy (Hamid) & Simon (siti)...tsk tsk....we are such rubbish pple & already 19/20 yr olds (boredin! disgrace to 22 yr olds!...haha kidding only...he's a man ok!)

yup...it was a crazy day...

here's wat we learnt abt each other so far:
1) hamid snores (according to boredin who resorted to sleeping on the floor with his hands over his ears)
2) boredin has to "embark" from the middle of the bed (in his own words) btwn asrie & hamid since he sleeps the latest & they chope the sides first
3) siti is a lepaqueen! who sneakily feels arnd the guys' bed for the softest pillows then secretly brings them to our bed for her enjoyment!
4) siti is gatal! everytime a mat motor passes by her on the rd, she will say "Bang, tompanglah bang..."
5) MF was the original boo boo queen (bo bo???) she started it all!!

thats it for now...day 2 coming up!

Msia Trip - Day 1 (Part 1: Kuantan)

ok finally back to my account of our wonderful trip...
where was i?
oh yah...we woke up the next morning in that kuantan hotel...me, Hamid & Asrie were to book our tickets to KL & find out abt transport to Cherating, while the royal highnesses lepaqueen & lepaking (siti & boredin) & sleeping sifu Mei Fang could continue what they do best.
oh but before that me & siti went down to the hotel cafe for the free breakfast buffet (we only got 2 vouchers)...but managed to feed everyone else using my Magic Bag! actually it was a huge zip-loc bag provided by MF that we used to smuggle food up. the trick is to load your plate with food, then furtively slide everything down into the magic bag...then stuff everything into a bagpack...

k so the 3 of us set off on foot to settle the transport stuff. walking arnd kuantan town in the morning was nice cos it wasnt hot and its just nice to explore new places. we were quite surprised that the town seemed rather dead considering it was sun morning, until we came upon this happening market selling all sorts of things...really fresh meat...and i mean really fresh cos the fish were still hopping arnd & the chickens were still in the process of being caught...k just kidding abt the chicken...& vegetables & spices & stuff & even a pasar malam-ish section selling tudungs, spiderman tees, curtains etc. think the guys were fascinated...

we also walked by the Pahang State Mosque (i think so if i remember correctly) which was huge & blue & really beautiful...but alas none of us had brought our cameras along...& right beside the mosque was a field where there was a rugby tournament going on...cool...quite a happening town after all! we even passed by a brass band playing...

once the rest had woken up we walked to this Restoran Alif (pronounced alfie by MF happily - haha boo boo!!) to have lunch, where boredin found out for the first time that nasi briyani contained ghee (he's buddhist so can't eat beef) & he was quite down cos he had eaten nasi briyani fr the last stall at RJ regularly. hopefully they dint use ghee...

k finally finally we set off for cherating (check in at 3 pm). the public bus to our resort comes once every hr & as we were walking along the rd we saw the bus from a distance...so it was a full sprint for us plus our luggage but we made it! (gd thing if not it would be a long wait at the side of the rd). non-aircon & a bumpy one hr ride, but i slept most of the way (dunno abt the rest as we were separated)...

we reached the legend resort at cherating & wow...what a beautiful place! the rustic kampung feel...palm trees, attap houses & the beach...wow... it was great cos the place was quite secluded & quiet...all ready to be explored... but first... the guys arranged another KO session before dinner....lazy bums!
