~ Rustom's Radiology Adventures ~

Oh how lovely it is to see a post from Hamid... once again this place feels complete.. let us all take a moment to smile blissfully :) ok enough nonsense, this post is officially dedicated to darling Rustom.... may you always remain quirky and eccentric forever and ever!

So it was a boring day and Dr.Rustom had just finished operating on 10 patients non-stop. "Yawn!" she yawned, " This is so boring!! I could be doing much more interesting things like Radiology!" So not being one to idle around, she decided to pursue her dreams and went forth into the exciting frontiers of Radiology... little did she know that a big adventure lay ahead of her... intrigued?? Read on!!

Off she went to the mysterious department of radiology at hospital XGH.. only to stumble upon an old museum hidden away from the prying eyes of the public. In fact hardly anyone knew about the existance of the museum... a quick flip through the guest book revealed the last visitors we here many years ago.. in 1998! Goodness knows what fate befell the poor souls as they were never to be heard of again. However "I am how tough" Dr Rustom was not to be deterred by this, she summoned her courage and decided to explore the dark and isolated museum all by herself (jit khong's all by myself plays softly in the background). She soon came across a even darker and mysterious tunnel... "What a dark mysetrious tunnel!" she said. She peered inside and saw nothing, not even her hand could be seen as she waved it in front of her face... "Hellooo!" she called.. but all she heard was her echo come back in haunting tones..

She took a slow but sure step into the tunnel, it was long and winding and the only way she could get forward was to feel the rough walls around her... she began to turn slightly tachycardic and tachypneic as excitement mounted in her and thought of what she might possibly find at the end of the tunnel... a treasure chest from the island of Makumba Balua?? Or the lost crown of Prince Hutu Mutu? Maybe even the stolen eye from the remains of Pharoah Rancyst! Which would it be... she wondered as she went forward... suddenly she began to see a hint of light. "At last, I see light at the end of the tunnel!" she cried and she rushed forward towards the anticing blink of energy. She came to an abrupt halt as she heard a weird clicking noise at the end of the tunnel.. was it a time bomb waiting to explode at the arrival of the next unassuming visitor to the dreaded museum? She summoned the last threads of her courage and stepped out of the tunnel only to find herself in a queer room.... she looked around for a clue as to where she might be. Finally she read the words on a door at a far corner of the room that read - Xray development room, Please do not enter!
Ah well so it was exciting while it lasted wasn't it? She made her way out of the tunnel once more plunging into darkness... her heart plunging along for she had not made any great discovery as she had been hoping to. Outside she met Huilin who said," Eh we been looking for you... lecture going to start le." "Sob!" sobbed Rustom, " I shouldn't have left behind my surgical scrubs after all...!" But she took it all in her stride and decided to initial the old, dusty, woebegone and long-forgotten guest book, to let the world know that one day many years ago, Dr Rustom had been in this very museum for an adventure..
She took a moment to decide what heart-wrenching words she should leave for future generations to benefit from... her eyes glistened with tears and she signed the much beloved trademark of herself and her group of fellow adventurers... "ah if only everyone in the future could have such wonderful chums," she thought.. and thus she left them all with a message and a signature...
Laughtertears...

The End!! :)
