~Happy Holidays~

Well CSFC finally aside, the 3 weeks of holidays that we had been greedily looking forward to finally arrived(though as I type this out the sad fact is that we are approaching the end of the hols... sob!). We kicked off our exciting holiday plans by planning a lovely trip to the zoo, courtesy of free passes from Hamid's mom(Hamid help us thank your mom!).So Hamid our dear organizer and professional weather forecaster told us to expect a fine n sunny day and also gave us the dress code for the day- white tops (suriya being the metro exception in pretty pink). So we all trooped down in Suriya's and Asroe's cars to the zoo, above is a lovely shot taken at the zoo entrance, notice the wet floor around us... ahem! So we had a pretty good time walking around (refer to the pics below for the finer details) till the skies broke upon us and caught us all offguard... see, we all trusted the weather forecaster but alas, he was slightly innacurate. Still the rain din dampen our spirits! While we sat in the shelter waiting for the rain to subside, Asroe sang us a nice zoo song and then we encountered the famous flying cockroach. We saw many animals(duh!) and were all suprised by Varun's vast knowledge of zoology. And Rustom finally met the true gilamunster ( she had been trying to pass off as him for the past few years) and I am sorry to say Rustom, dun be offended but you look nothing like the actual gilamunster. We caught a delightful animal show as well... featuring some clever monkeys and seals and the suprise snake from the backpack! Many photos later, and after learning how to tell the jaguar from the leopard( i forgot how) we came to the end of our zootrip. We stood around outside for a while getting Greys Anatomy updates while poor Nurul ran away protecting herself from spoilers. After a confusing discussion of what to do next we decided to go makan at woodlands. It was quite an adventure getting there I must say as Suriya's car that was closely trailing Asroe's suddenly went missing when he took a wrong turn.... and according to Hamid, Suriya had just done a Banjo! Well we found each other in the end and went on to have a nice tea where Suriya Banjo finally got his naan while we all feasted on fried icecream.. yum! Well that was to be the end of the delightful day at the zoo... look at the photos for the details.

for starters, Hamid got mauled by a huge n vicious tiger!

then Rustom n Harti met their dream guys and decided to hold a impromptu twin wedding amidst African huts!

the shocker came when Rustom suddenly ditched her new wooden hubby and went for this handsome fella from downunder instead!scandalous!!

then Asroe did the unthinkable and serenaded us with a song while a huge cockroach creeped on Varun!

then Nurul spotted a UFO (unidentified flying orangutan) flying around in the sky!

Suriya Banjo was so inspired he decided to join the UFOs!

well of course there were the animals too.. like these cute lil penguins

the PROMINENT zebras....

and the family of chimps! wat a sweet pic!

A week later, we all met again.. this time to go bowling! Was loads of fun tho i daresay it would have been more fun if my ball din go to the longkang so much. Well we found that Nurul was the expert bowler! In the first round, Estrogen narrowly lost to the Testosterones while in the second round the Terrible Tyrants were flattened by the Bohling Baddies. All in all, was good stuff. Afterwards we went across to indulge in some Daytona where once again Nurul took the lead! And Hamid made a nice friend coutersy of me! We were then joined by Asroe and ate miserably small proportions of dinner at Breeks while we discussed where to watch soccer that night. It all came down to a nail-biting scissors-paper-stone match between Nurul and Hamid that decided the venue, and Nurul still on her winning streak won 4-1! So it was decided, we armed ourselves with chocolate, green tea and roti prata and came to my place to catch the match. Ruslan Rotan became our man of the match coz of the sheer brilliance of his name while Ramos followed a close second and we watched in awe as Spain flattened the poor Ukranians.

Next day we went to Hamid's place starting off with a delightfuly confusing dinner at KFC hut near Hamid's place. KFC Hut which once won Rustom's heart turned out to be very disorganized missing out the details of our orders. Poor Nurul ended up having the sauce in her Banditto despite giving 3 reminders that she wanted it off while they forgot Jit Khong's order altogether! We then took over Hamid's place by storm ( we were rather noisy!) and stayed watching the matches till 2am! Of course Hamid the wonderful host provided us with plenty of snacks, keropok and Green Tea!!! The official world cup 2006 drink! Was loads of fun!! Well hope we can have another world cup outing before we all disperse to our different hospitals... this hols has been action packed and loads of fun! Can't believe its coming to a close so soon, gonna miss you guys and all the fun times we had this past few days! Well this is Harti signing off... enjoy the pics =) oh oh wait... may I take this opportunity to wish Czech Republic the best of luck... please please buck up! May they be blessed always by Nedved's golden locks!
