Fieldwork, babies & a nice surprise!
Hello all!
there seems to be a blogging lull here so I shall just write an entry since I got nothing to do. firstly, a big hello to shoe in france! if not drooling over boys, then over what? food?
well, speaking of drool, we (tt is to say, me harti & huilin) have been chasing HOs for their saliva these past few days. (it's an extension of our survey on burnout among HOs, to measure IgA & cortisol levels in saliva & see if it correlates w level of stress, sth like that). anyway i was at kk w kenneth & kok wei. aside from persuading reluctant HOs to layan us, we had a great time smushing our faces against the nursery window at the maternity wards & ogling neonates. i dint know guys could be such baby watchers! but how can one not go "sooo cute!!" at e tiny lil red faced creatures...kok wei had a blast congratulating new parents...e 3 of us even had a nice chat with a proud new father! then later on, we went down to the delivery suite & hung arnd waiting for a HO who was helping with a delivery. from outside, can already hear the midwife saying "1,2,3 PUSH!" followed by "Poor effort!" hahaha so fierce...then suddenly, we heard the cries of the newborn baby...& there u haf it, a new human being was welcomed into e world... cool right?
anyway, just wanted to tell u guys abt who we met at kk kopitiam...guess who??? 3J's 1st 3 mths form teacher (lectured bio)....ms. wee mui ling aka Xena the warrior princess! remember her? she who married a frenchman and moved to e french countryside? nice surprise right! e best part was all of us there were taught by her at rj, incl victor tak who was also there, & she remembers everybody! she was at kk for a check-up, expecting her 2nd child now...apparently she shuttles between s'pore, lyon & shanghai (husband's business) & doesnt really live in france permanently.
so we had a really great lunch with her, gossiping abt rj teachers like a certain bio slacker teacher who was given an eng name to match his surname (who btw, is now teaching my sis, & she complains abt him all e time) & lots of other stuff. she also showed us a foto of her 4 y/o daughter, who is soo pretty. mixed kids are all so adorable! siti go find someone exotic lah…
yup so thats my story for my part of e fieldwork. wonder how was urs, harti & hui lin! & hamid, pls tell us more abt ur lovely bonding experience with ur chp partner! heard fr kenneth, who heard fr teng hwee tt ur prof made all of u go back again to knock on doors?
see u guys!
love, adila

~ 3 lil chicks part II ~
And the story continues... so these were the 3 chicks lepaking... of course non were as lepak as pak chick! Butt chick was being as rude as always, refusing to face the camera the right way round while hot chick remained a big poser and bimbo... so they did many exciting things together after being adopted by their new found mother hens! Their mother hens being highly matured and respectable chickens, decided to race their baby chicks outside MacDonalds.. much to the amazement of many a passer-by. Pak chick did not get very far before winding to a halt, while hot chick ran off course and off the table while butt chick went full speed ahead ramming unceremoniously into hot chick and pak chick and chirping madly all around the table... below are the photos of the chicky babies and their wonderfully crazy mummies :)

:: Introducing Three Chicks ::
Once upon a time, there lived three friends by the name of Hamid, Adila and Harti. They looked normal, dressed normal, talked normal but...
In actual fact, deep deep inside... they were not normal at all!
They always had a psycho side that was burgeoning within them that was ready to explode into reality. Lo and behold, on the 7th of January 2006 at 530pm in Kiddy Palace of Causeway Point it did. The psychotic nature manifested in an absolutely unbelievable act of purchasing 'windable' chicks. Not only did they buy these chicks for the price of S$3.90 each, they even went one crazy step further in naming them. And one of the three kukus even had a great idea of sewing costumes for these chicks. This email is a warning to the public to be aware and to beware of these three. Like I said, they look very normal, they dress very normal, they talk very normal but...
You get the idea, DON'T FALL PREY...
